» Alternate Universe
Playing an AU muse is exactly what it means--you're placing the muse in an alternate universe, and so their history and background must be changed in order to fit the setting. Take the Korean singer Bi, for example; in real life he is a famous singer in Asia. As an AU muse, his name would still be Jung Jihoon, and possibly Bi if he gained the nickname through this different life. He could be anything, as long as it fits within the realms of this world.

His personality would be similar to his real life personality. Obviously, some aspects will be different and changed due to the fact that he lead a different life than the real Jung Jihoon. If you're looking to play a muse whose personality is completely different than the real, then you might want to look into using a played-by.
» Played-By
A PB muse is nearly the same as an OC, or original character, but PB is more of a catchall term for when you use a face for a character. (The term comes from when you denote the face you use to portray your character, "My character is played by Jung Jihoon.")

You do not need to retain anything about the real/face besides their appearance. You make up your muse's name, their personality and history. Their identity is your creation. If I used Bi as a PB, my muse wouldn't be named as such. He might be named John Kim, a hobo who lives in the streets of California.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q & A

» How is the game played exactly?
Scenes take place over aim. The main community is considered a sort of forum where you can meet and talk to other residents of the city.

» Do I have to post scene logs? And if so, where?
It is not mandatory to post scene logs, but we always like to read them. If you do want to post logs you can post them to your journal under a cut with "OOC" in the title.

» How do you do activity checks?
Activity checks are done once a month on the 1st. People that join after the 15th are exempt from that months activity checks. A warning PM will be sent to all muses on the claims list on the 25th if they have yet to reach the activity requirements (which can be found here) for that month.

» If I'm a human, can I own an A.I. ?
Simply put, yes. There are rules and regulations on that (which can be found here) and it will have to be agreed upon between muns.

» Can I play an A.I.?
Yes. You can find an application for them here.
